Opening Hours
& Visit

What are the opening hours? From February 27.

The restaurant is open daily from 5:00 pm.

Kitchen hours are from 5:00 PM to 10:00 pm.

Starting in April 2026, we will also be open for lunch from Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 pm.

The Chefs Warehouse Bar is open Sunday to Wednesday from

5:00 pm to 1:00 am and Thursday to Saturday from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Is Chefs Warehouse open on public holidays?

Yes, we are also open on national public holidays.

Can I come without a reservation?

Walk-ins are always welcome at the bar and restaurant, but without a reservation, there may be a wait. We generally recommend making a reservation in advance at: www.chefswarehouse.de/restaurant

Is there a maximum length of stay?

The maximum length of stay depends on the number of reservations on the day. Your table may be limited to 2 hours. Depending on the number of guests, you may be able to stay longer at your table or take a seat at the bar.

Ist the Chefs Warehouse barrier-free?

Yes, the building is wheelchair accessible via ramps and elevators. Accessible restrooms are located in the basement.

Is there a terrace or outdoor area?

Yes, the outdoor area is expected to be available for guests starting in the spring, depending on the Hamburg weather.

Are children welcome?

Due to the menu structure, our concept is geared towards adult guests. Children are welcome when accompanied by their parents. High chairs are available.

Are dogs allowed in Chefs Warehouse?

Your four-legged friend is welcome at Chefs Warehouse as long as they stay close to you and behave discreetly and quietly.

Is there a dress code?

For your visit, we recommend smart casual attire.

How can I reserve a table?

We accept reservations online at: www.chefswarehouse.de/restaurant,

Is a reservation required?

To ensure a smooth experience for both you and us, we recommend making a reservation.

How many people can I reserve for?

You can make a regular reservation for up to 9 people at the restaurant via our booking form at www.chefswarehouse.de/restaurant. For groups of 10 or more, please contact us by email at: reservierung@chefswarehouse.de

Are reservations for groups or events possible?

We would be happy to host your event. For bookings for larger groups and private events of 15 people or more, please contact us by email at: reservierung@chefswarehouse.de or submit your request via our online form at: www.chefswarehouse.de/exklusiv

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

Depending on the group size, you can cancel or change your booked table free of charge up to 12 hours in advance via the link in your booking confirmation, by phone at +49 40 238 36 06 00, or by email at reservierung@chefswarehouse.de.

Is there a no-show fee?

For cancellations outside of our cancellation policy and in case of no-shows, we reserve the right to charge a no-show fee of 50,00 € per person to compensate for the lost revenue. Thank you for your understanding.

Drinks

What is the restaurant's concept?

Chefs Warehouse's cuisine is international, presented in a "casual fine dining" style, featuring dishes with a seasonal focus and high-quality regional products.

The multi-course meal consists of two dishes, each designed for sharing between two people. Liam Tomlin, the creator of the concept, describes it as "global-inspired tapas."

Is there a set menu or is it à la carte?

For the complete Chefs Warehouse experience, we highly recommend the sharing menu for two.

Individual à la carte dishes can also be ordered from the set menu.

How long does a menu take?

Please allow approximately 2.5 hours for the full menu. Depending on the group size, it may take up to 3 hours.

Are there vegetarian/vegan options?

Yes, at Chefs Warehouse we offer a full plant-based menu.

Are allergies or intolerances accommodated?

Please inform us of any intolerances when making your reservation so that the kitchen team can make the necessary preparations.

Is there a wine pairing?

Yes, we offer wine pairings or non-alcoholic beverage pairings with the menu. Please ask your server for details.

Is there a drinks menu/wine selection?

At Chefs Warehouse, you'll find a carefully curated selection of wines from Germany, South Africa, Italy, and France. Your server will provide you with the wine and drinks menu at your table.

Can I bring my own bottle?

No, unfortunately, this is not possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Does the menu change seasonally?

We regularly replace individual dishes based on seasonal and regional availability.

Is there a children's menu?

Yes, we also cater to our youngest diners.

Is there a takeout offer?

No, we do not offer takeout.

Is there food available at the bar?

Yes, we offer delicious small bar snacks, including vegan and vegetarian options.

What drinks are available at the bar?

We have cold draft beer, wines from Germany, France, Italy, and South Africa, long drinks and cocktails, and of course, non-alcoholic beverages.

Can I just have coffee at Chefs Warehouse?

Absolutely. You can enjoy hot coffee specialties at our bar during opening hours.

Payment

What payment methods are accepted?

Throughout Chefs Warehouse, cash payments as well as cashless payments, including debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, etc., are accepted.

Is it possible to invoice companies?

Yes, please inform your service representative that you would like to be billed. We would be happy to send you a cost estimate before your booking. Please contact us regarding this by email at: reservierung@chefswarehouse.de

Events & Specials

Can the restaurant be rented for private parties or corporate events?

Yes, Chefs Warehouse offers various rooms and areas suitable for groups of 15 or more. Please submit your request via our online form at: www.chefswarehouse.de/exklusiv

Does the restaurant offer catering?

For events and functions at Chefs Warehouse, we offer menus, food stations, etc., subject to availability and prior arrangement.

We do not offer catering for events outside of Chefs Warehouse.

Are gift vouchers available?

Yes, we offer digital and physical gift certificates with custom or pre-defined values, redeemable in the canteen, at the bar, and in the Warehouse.

Will there be any future events at Chefs Warehouse?

There will be recurring events and parties at Chefs Warehouse in the future. All upcoming events will be announced well in advance in our event calendar at www.chefswarehouse.de/events.

Directions

Where exactly is the Chefs Warehouse located?

Chefs Warehouse is located at Am Sandtorkai 29 in 20457 Hamburg, on the border between HafenCity and Speicherstadt

Is there parking nearby?

Parking is available in the immediate vicinity in public parking garages in HafenCity, such as the CONTIPARK parking garage at Am Sandtorkai 6, just a three-minute walk away. Please see the posted rates on site.

How accessible is the location by public transport?

If you are arriving by Hamburg subway, you can take either the U3 ring line to Rödingsmarkt or Baumwall (Elbphilharmonie), or the U4 (towards Elbbrücken) to Überseequartier.

From all stations, it is approximately a 10- to 15-minute walk through Speicherstadt or Überseequartier to Chefs Warehouse.

If you are arriving by bus, we recommend taking line 2 (towards Schenefeld) from the main train station to the Am Sandtorkai stop, which is located directly in front of Chefs Warehouse.
