The Warehouse
The Origin
The origin of the successful Chefs Warehouse concept lies right here – in the warehouse.
It began as a point of sale for high-quality kitchen utensils, cookbooks, and groceries in the first Chefs Warehouse on Bree Street in Cape Town. The product range was constantly expanded, and a selection of small dishes – international tapas – was added as a quick bite, which quickly became very popular with customers. The focus shifted more and more to the food, and Chefs Warehouse evolved from a shop into the restaurant concept it is today.
